Welcome to Best Friends Dog Club

Best Friends Dog Club is excited to announce the start of our fall classes for you and your furry friend! Whether you need a little help with obedience, you want your dog to run an agility course, or you just want to spend some fun time with your dog, we have the class for you! With a variety of diverse classes to choose from, you’re certain to find the perfect fit.

We encourage you to come to our upcoming Meet and Greet to learn more about the variety of classes that Best Friends Dog Club offers and to meet our highly skilled trainers. At the event you will be able to witness several of the Best Friends Dog Club registered dogs and their handlers showing off the skills they have learned through past classes. Volunteer staff, our trainers, and training advisors will be on hand to help you decide the best class or classes for you. Registration will be held the same night.

We encourage all people who are interested in our club to attend this event. Please know that membership is required for registration in classes, and that we will be accepting new members at this event and throughout the year. Our club is open to all Sun City RCSC cardholders.

Our Meet and Greet will be held Thursday October 18th. Dog demonstrations begin at 5:00 pm at our outside training yard at the east end of Fairway Recreation Center. After the demonstrations, the agenda will be moved inside to the Arizona Room. Membership in BFDC is $10 per year and allows participation in numerous activities and events. Cost for classes is $60.00 per dog per class (cash or check only, please, as we are not set up for other forms of payment). We require your  RCSC cardBFDC membership card, and  your dog's rabies vaccination certificate to register for classes.

Refreshments will be served at the Meet and Greet. Due to this event being on RCSC property, only service dogs are allowed unless they are invited as demonstrators for the event.

Best Friends Dog Club is excited to announce the new LIFE LONG COMPANION (Obedience) learning series.  There will be FOUR levels of training (Level 1 though Level 4).  Each level represents graduated skills.  We’ve decided to expand the AKC Canine Good Citizen requirements so as to include a much more comprehensive program.    As each level of training and testing is completed, a certificate of completion suitable for framing will be awarded to the handler/dog team.
